HOW TO STAY FIT WHEN YOU GET BUSY AT WORK

HOW TO STAY FIT WHEN YOU GET BUSY AT WORK

HOW TO STAY FIT WHEN
YOU GET BUSY AT WORK

Sometimes, our workdays are so jam-packed that we forget to pencil in time to get a little exercise in. Moving our bodies every day is so important for not only our physical health, but our mental health as well. When you have a busy workday, there are still ways to get some activity in. Not only will your body thank you, but your mind will also. Here are a few ways to stay fit when you’re busy at work.

Embrace your commute

Your commute is the perfect time toget moving. Consider walking, running, or biking to work. Not only will you get your activity in, but it will wake you right up so you’re more alert for the day ahead.

Stand and walk throughout your day

We’re so used to sitting at our desks all day that we forget we can also get our work done while standing! There are plenty of standing desks out there to accommodate your height or you can find any surface that suits you to work at. While on a phone call, go on a walk! No one says you have to be sitting while taking your calls

Schedule your workouts like you schedule your meetings

You’re just as important as the meetings on your agenda so go ahead and pencil yourself in! Schedule your workouts on your calendar just as you would a deadline or a meeting and make it a non-negotiable so you won’t cancel on yourself.

Master your mindset

Change the way you think about your workout. Working out is not a chore or something you have to do. Instead, view it as something you getto do. You’re able to move your body and be alive! Some don’t have that privilege. View your workouts with gratitude and excitement.

Join a gym that’s close to your home or office

Make going to the gym convenient for you and join the one that’s closest to your home or your office. That way, when it’s time to get your workout in, your gym is just a quick drive or walk away.
